He was also a supporter of Black wine producers, a Portuguese advocate, and was a great drummer. His passions in life were his son Alex, music, and the wine community.

Every time he came to Porto I was hoping to meet him with his family, since I had heard so much about him from his uncle. A life cut short, so much promise in his wonderful career. May he be an inspiration for young people who want to find their path. Portuguese wine has lost one of its promoters and ambassadors. His family from Porto, Portugal are devastated that they cannot attend.
