Bruno Carl Pausewang, age 80, of Kerrville, TX passed away on January 12, 2025.
Carl was born on January 29, 1944 in Sugar Land, TX. His parents were Charlie Pausewang and Eunice Yearout Pausewang. Carl graduated from Dulles High School. During high school, Carl participated in the youth rodeo, where he found his passion for bull riding. Carl continued bull riding after high school for several years. During this time, he developed friendships that would last his entire life. Carl also proudly served his country as a United States Marine. He earned several commendations during his time of service, including graduating in the top 10% of his bootcamp. Carl eventually started his own company, Interstate Maintenance, in Montgomery, TX. Again, he would develop lifelong friendships with his co-workers, considering many of them family. He later met the love of his life, Lynda Ann Yeisley. They were united in marriage on September 8, 1984, and recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. Carl loved to water ski and taught his entire family to water ski. Carl continued his career in the oil and gas industry which allowed him and Lynda the good fortune to live in Thailand for two years and travel the world. After returning to the U.S., Carl and Lynda became avid motorcyclists. They explored the United States on their Harleys, often travelling with friends, for two weeks at a time. Carl also had a great love for dogs, especially bull dogs.
Carl is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Eunice Pausewang; father-in-law, Ed Yeisley; brother-in-law, Roger Cearley; and son, Taylor Carl Pausewang.
He is survived by his wife, Lynda Ann Pausewang; sister, Charlene Stevens; sister-in-law, Pam Cearley; nephew, James Havens and wife Heidi; niece, Teressa Estes and husband Chuck; cousin, Theresa Lane; and numerous other family members; including three great-nieces, one great-nephew, one great-great-niece, and one great-great-nephew.
