Bryan Barber Obituary
It is with great sadness the family of Bryan Keene Barber, 68, of Urbandale, IA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 10. Born on September 27, 1957 in Meriden, CT, Bryan was the son of the late Harry and Betty (Brown) Barber.
Bryan met the love of his life, Laura in 1977, and they were married for 46 years. He worked at James T. Kay Company of Meriden, CT and was a plumber by trade.
His first love was always his family. Bryan would give you the shirt off his back. He was a friend to everyone even if he only met you once and always had a thank you for everyone. His second love was being around the water, fishing and or at the farm hunting. His sense of humor and quirky ways will be missed.
Bryan is survived by his wife Laura of Urbandale, IA, daughter Sarah (Eric) Grundfast of Urbandale, IA, his sister Brenda (Tim) Wichrowski of Middletown, CT, his niece Mackenzie (Paul) Benjunas of Middletown, CT and many cousins. He also leaves behind two sister-in-laws Deb and Heidi and nieces Heather and Ashley. Bryan was predeceased by his parents Harry and Betty.
The family would like to thank his care team that consisted of UnityPoint at Home Care, Mission Cancer + Blood and the nurses at Iowa Methodist. No services will be held per Bryan's wishes. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Mission Cancer + Blood, Pheasants Forever, or Trout Unlimited.
