Bryan Cruse Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service - Graniteville on Apr. 2, 2023.
Mr. Bryan G. Cruse, 52, of Aiken, SC, entered into rest on Thursday, March 30, 2023.
Born in Pensacola, FL, on December 21, 1970, he was a son of David and Cate George Cruse. Bryan, also known as "Cruse" and "Cruser", graduated from Clearwater High School, Clearwater, FL. Following his graduation from Clearwater High School, he went to Francis Marion University on a baseball scholarship and graduated from his beloved Florida State University with a Bachelors in Political Science. While at Florida State, he worked at the Seminole Golf Course, where many lifelong friends were made.
In 1996, he relocated to Aiken, SC, where he and his dad owned Cruse Insurance Services and he also was involved in several golf investments. He became very active in the community, especially after the birth of "his boys". Cruse was a member of THE Palmetto Golf Club. A member of the Aiken Masonic Lodge, he was initiated as an Entered Apprentice on June 14, 2014, passed to the degree of a Fellowcraft on January 8, 2015, and raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason on March 26, 2015. Cruse coached "his boys" in baseball and football. He was well known for coaching the Aiken Tigers and was still referred to as Coach Cruse by many of the youth that he had coached throughout the years.
When Cruse walked into a room, the room became filled with energy. The first words out of his mouth when he would see you were usually "Hey Bud".
In life you come into contact with many people and gain many friends. If you were fortunate enough to be a friend of the Cruser, you didn't have a friend, you had a "true friend".
In addition to his mom and dad, family members include "his boys", Grayson Cruse and Walter Tyler "Hammerhead" Cruse; Jeff Cruse, his "little brother", who was all of half an inch shorter and a nephew and niece, who loved their uncle Bryan, Kendall and Cameron Cruse.
In accordance with his wishes, the Cruser will be cremated and a Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2023, at 4 o'clock at New Spring Church, Aiken, SC. Pastor Matt Steelman will officiate. Brother Cruse will also have Masonic Rites, accorded the brethren of the Aiken Masonic Lodge.
Bryan loved attending and volunteering at New Spring Church. He would want memorials in his memory to be made to New Spring Church. 803-306-1102
