Bryan O'Neal Curtice, 50 years old of Nederland, TX, sadly left us on April 25, 2025. We rejoice in the fact that he is face to face with his God and Savior Jesus Christ.

Bryan was born on November 17, 1974. He graduated from Nederland High School in 1994 and pursued a degree and career in Diesel Mechanics. A brief time later he met the love of his life, Dedra Curtice. Bryan then pursued a degree and career in Process Operating to better care for his family. Bryan also known as "Wilson" was employed by Exxon Mobil as an Operator and was part of the Coker Crew at the Beaumont Refinery. He loved working and found joy in what he did and who he worked with.

Bryan was loved by all who met him. He was gentle, kind, hard-working, and just an all-around great guy. His pride and joy were his family. He was the ultimate girl dad. He truly had a gift in making sure each of his girls; Madison, Bryna, and Sophie, knew they each were his favorite. He loved Dedra. He loved his family. He devoted his life selflessly to the people he loved immeasurably.

Bryan is survived by his wife of 26 years, Dedra, who loved him with her whole heart. His children, oldest daughter, Madison Clark and her husband Korey and Bryan's favorite little guy, Jude David. Jude was Bryan's one and only grandson and Pops thought Jude was the smartest, coolest, funniest little dude ever. He loved that little boy. Bryna, his twin and namesake, and her fiancé, Brett Doty, and Princess Sophie, his littlest baby girl.

Bryan is also survived by his loving parents James and Darlene Curtice of Fredericksburg, Texas. Oh, how Bryan loved visiting his parents in Fredericksburg. He loved them deeply.

His sole sibling, brother, Jeremy Curtice and his wife Shannon of Spurger, Texas. Bryan often shared stories of his love and adventures with his brother whom he loved genuinely. Bryan also loved and adored his niece and nephew; Alexus, Kolton, and Logan Curtice and one great-nephew, Jaxson Curtice.

Bryan has many other aunts, uncles, friends, and family who loved him tremendously and will miss him terribly.

Although Bryan leaving us unexpectedly occurred, we take comfort in the living and active words of our Lord and Savior. We believe in Psalm 139:16, when David wrote "Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them." As hard as it is to comprehend, we know that Bryan lived his days to the fullest of measure and nothing could prevent, add, or take away his ordained days and for that we are comforted.

We also, in our bleakest, darkest days have seen a bright light flicker. It seems so small and powerless right now to eliminate the immense pain and hurt of such a massive loss, BUT GOD! Those two words change everything. Our lives are always intertwined with "But God's", because God is ever present and at work in each of our lives, Bryan's life included. It is a beautiful supernatural wonder to be loved by, provided for, intently cared for, and completely surrounded by and wholly saved by the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. That is our HOPE. When all seems unbearably lost, never to return to any sense of joy and normalcy...we have that kind of HOPE.

Life is short. I know it sounds cliche due to the fact that we say it so nonchalantly, but words are weighty, and His Word is both weighty and true. Just as Bryan's ordained day was April 25th, we also have an ordained day. We do not know the day or hour but as followers of Christ we are called to be ready! Have you trusted Jesus as your Lord and Savior? Do you know Him, and does He know you?

Bryan knew the importance of knowing Christ and following Him. Bryan, like us all needs a savior. There is absolutely no other way to go to the Father, to heaven, except through Jesus Christ. How we live our short time here on earth will determine how we spend our eternity. Bryan knew this and we thank him for his life, love, and example. Do not waste time, it is fleeting. Know today with the hope and certainty that Bryan had, what your life, legacy, and eternity will be.

Serving as pallbearers: Chris Badgett, Kevin Dupuis, Dustin Dupuis, DJ Walp, Korey Clark, Brett Doty and honorary pallbearer: Jeremy Curtice. We love and appreciate the kind service of each one of these guys. Thank you for honoring our beloved Bryan.

Bryan is preceded in death by Mr. and Mrs. Alphe and Hilda Dupuis of Port Arthur and Mr. J.0. Curtice and Jerdine Curtice.
