George Bryan Davis II "Bryan" was born in Austin, TX on November 14, 1976. Bryan grew up in Westlake, where he was a proud Westlake High School Chap. Bryan and his family moved to Houston, TX in 1996, where Bryan finished school at Tomball High School. The move was prompted by his father's surrender to full-time ministry, which led them to Houston Northwest Church. Bryan served alongside his father and mother, acting as an integral part of the church's ministry and continuously praying for those around him. Even though Bryan, by the world's standards, was considered to have certain limitations, God tasked Bryan with a special mission to spread the Gospel in only the way Bryan could do – and Bryan heeded the call. He was the purest example of unconditional Christ-like love.
Bryan was known far and wide for his love for the Lord, but we must not forget the smiles he brought to everyone's face day in and day out. No matter how bad your day might have seemed, Bryan could somehow turn it around with his witty humor. His humor was tailormade. He knew just how to make you laugh; just how to make you feel seen and heard; just how to bring a smile to your face. He brought joy to every room and to every circumstance.
Bryan is survived by his dearly devoted parents, Dwight and Linda Davis, who loved and cared for him until his final hours. Bryan is also survived by his sister Jessica Davis Mauro, his brother-in-law Lucas Mauro, nephew Wyatt Mauro and niece McKenzie Mauro. He also leaves behind countless aunts, uncles and cousins, all of which he loved so dearly and held close to him in prayer. Bryan was preceded in death by, and is now rejoicing in Heaven alongside, grandfather Jesse Bolles, grandmother Jean Bolles, grandfather Harold Davis and grandmother Francis Davis.
Bryan always spoke about how he longed to be with Jesus and had no fear about being called home. He often talked about how he looked forward to finally having a perfect mind, and now a perfect body as well. We can only imagine how sweet the homecoming was for Bryan. He now gets to do the thing he always loved the most and do it for eternity – and that's to worship Jesus. What a wonderful gift we have knowing we will be reunited with Bryan, where we will witness first-hand his incredible worship for our Lord.
It was a blessing to have spent Bryan's final day all together - Dwight, Linda, Jessica, Lucas, Wyatt and McKenzie. We had the opportunity to share funny memories, tell Bryan how much we loved him, tell him goodbye and tell him it was ok to go home – we would be ok here. Our prayer was the Bryan would not suffer any longer than he had to, and God heard our prayer. Bryan will continue to have an impact on this world, even in his absence, but oh, the joy we will soon experience to be in his presence with Jesus. His treasures in Heavan are most certainly overflowing.
Bryan went to be with his Lord and Savior around 6 pm on August 17, 2025, after suffering a massive stroke just 8 weeks prior. We thank each and every person who had an impact on Bryan's life, those who prayed diligently during his final chapter and those who continue to provide love and support. Bryan was so very loved.
A Celebration of Bryan's Life will be at 10:00 am on Friday, August 22, 2025, at Houston Northwest Church. Visitation will begin at 9:15 am just prior to the service.
Graveside will follow the services at 3:30 pm at Live Oak Cemetery in
Manchaca, TX.
