Bryan Clark Goodwin of
Tomball, Texas passed away on July 16th, at age 63.
Bryan was born on November 11th, 1961, to Marion Clark Largent and Bobby Ross Goodwin in Fort Sumner, New Mexico. He moved to Houston with his mother at the age of 3 and eventually to West Columbia, Texas at age 9, where he graduated from Columbia High School in 1980.
In 1982, Bryan married his high school sweetheart, Melinda Ellen Goodwin, to whom he was married for 43 years. Bryan and Melinda welcomed three children into their lives, Jaime Ellen Goodwin (38), Jake Clark Goodwin (33), and Jenna Destiny Goodwin(25).
While still in high school, Bryan worked as a self-employed roofer and demonstrated the work ethic that would result in a very successful 45 year career. He began on the loading docks at Dow Chemical for whom he worked for 17 years. Over the next several years, he continued his career in the plastics industry where he served as plant manager at multiple facilities.
Bryan was very involved in his children's activities and served as a Boy Scout leader and coached several sports teams. He enjoyed fishing and landscaping. He was a big fan of Aggie football and enjoyed the yearly road game with family and friends. He was known for his joke telling and sometimes 'unique' sense of humor.
Bryan is survived by his wife Melinda, daughter Jaime, son Jake and daughter Jenna; brother Greg Goodwin and wife Judy, sister Christi Klassen and husband Tom, sister Susan Harris; mother-in-law Ellen Warren; brothers-in-law Pat Sloan and wife Bo, Marcus Warren and wife Brenda; nephews Jay Sloan and wife Karen, Steven Sloan and wife Jennifer, Branden Tramel and wife Suzy, Josh Goodwin and wife Jennifer, Joe Goodwin and wife Izzy, Nathan Haberland; nieces Jodi Tramel, Tonya Sweatman and husband Cody, Melanie Klassen, Kelly Klassen, Ashley Haberland, Jasey Morin and husband Ryan; and many other loving relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother Marion Clark Largent; father Bobby Goodwin; half-brother Peyton Clark; father-in-law Ray Warren; sister-in-law Lisa Sloan.
His Celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday, July 19th at 2pm at Klein Funeral Home, 1400 W Main St.,
Tomball, TX 77375. Visitation will be at 1pm prior to the service.
