Bryan Arwin Maxedon, 90, passed away on February 16, 2025 in the comfort of his home. He was the son of Finley Bryan Maxedon and Zola McPherson Maxedon. He was born in Nashville, TN on August 12, 1934. After growing up and finishing school in Nashville, he joined the US Navy for 4 years. After returning home, he met and married Kathleen Howell. They had two children: son, Dwayne and daughter, Janet. They were married 43 years until her passing. He then met his ending life partner, Susie, with whom he shared many wonderful memories for 21 years.
He worked for John Harland check printing company for 37 years. After retirement, he enjoyed playing golf, traveling, trying new restaurants and making creative cork art.
He was preceded in death by his son, Dwayne Maxedon; his brothers: Keaton Maxedon, Ray Maxedon, and Wendell Maxedon; and his sister, Lila Maxedon Wilson.
He is survived by his love, Susie Silcox; daughter, Janet Maxedon Morrison; step-son, Tom Silcox; grandchildren: Megan Maxedon Scott (Adam), Ashley Morrison Burleson (Heath), Justin Morrison, and Jeremy Morrison; step grandchildren: Courtney Silcox McClure (Tyler), and Blake Silcox; seven great-grandchildren: Winter Scott, Graylee Scott, Dylon Scott, Kinley McClure, Kamden McClure, Colton Burleson and Madelyn Burleson.
He was deeply loved by all and will be forever in our hearts.
The Memorial will be held on Monday, February 24th at 10:00 at Ramsey Funeral Home in Georgetown with military honors rendered by the United States Navy.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
A private family service will be held at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
On behalf of Bryan, the family would like to thank everyone for their love, support, and prayers during this celebratory service of a life well lived.
