Bryan Sanders Obituary
Bryan Alan Sanders, 41 of Lake City, passed away on Monday, June 9, 2025 at the HCA North Florida Hospital in Gainesville. Bryan was born and raised in Gainesville and was a graduate of Buchholz High School class of 2002 and was a member of Westside Baptist Church. He was a lifelong resident of North Florida having lived in both Gainesville and Lake City and was currently working at the Belmont Academy Charter School in Lake City. Bryan loved to spend time with his family, especially camping on Lake Allatoona at the Lake Forrest Country Club. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, J.D. and Dorothy Sanders; his maternal grandparents, Louis and Ruby Agnes Piehl; one uncle, Dell M. Sanders; and one aunt, Ina Mae Sanders.
Survivors include his wife, Amanda Greene Sanders, Lake City; his two sons, Walker David Sanders and Weston Curtis Sanders both of Lake City; his parents, J. David and Cheryl Sanders of Gainesville; his father and mother in law, David and Leslie Greene, Lake City; two brothers, Christopher "Chris" Sanders (Amber) of Gainesville and J.D. "Jay" Sanders, III of Gainesville; his brother in law, Nathan Greene (Bridget), Ocean View, DE: two nieces, Riley Polk and Liberty "Libby" Greene; one nephew, Nolan Greene; numerous uncles, aunts and extended family also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Sanders will be conducted on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Westside Baptist Church in Gainesville with Pastor David Chauncey and Pastor Tommy Hudson officiating. Interment will follow at Hopeful Baptist Church Cemetery in Lake City at 2:00 PM. A time of visitation with the family will be from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the funeral on Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made by check payable to Westside Foundation, 10000 West Newberry Road, Gainesville, FL 32606, in memory of Bryan Sanders.
