Bryan Richard Yurecka, formerly of Endicott, NY, and Boston, MA, passed away in a surfing accident on August 23, 2024 in Kure Beach, North Carolina, he was 39 years old.
Bryan was predeceased by his father, William "Bill" Joseph Yurecka, his brother Kevin William Yurecka, grandparents Catherine and Joseph Yurecka, Richard and Lucille McLean, and his uncle Rick McLean.
At the time of his passing, Bryan was survived by his mother, Marie McLean and her husband Tom Potochniak, his sister Michelle Yurecka, and several aunts, uncles, cousins and his faithful dog, Mac.
Bryan was a graduate of Union-Endicott High School and SUNY Morrisville. Currently, he was working as a DevSecOps engineer for Mosaic Learning.
He had a passion for outdoor activities and moved to North Carolina to expand his love for running, cycling, 4 wheeling on the beach, and surfing. Sadly, Bryan suffered an unusual accident, and will be remembered for his adventurous spirit which he shared with everyone. He leaves behind many close friends and family who will carry on his essence, his vitality and his warmth.
The family will receive friends Saturday, October 19 from 1– 3 pm, at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott.
