Bryce Allen Sheaffer, age 35, born on November 20, 1990, in the warm embrace of
Seymour, Indiana, lived his life with the exuberance of a spirited soul whose laughter resonated through every room he graced. Tragically, this radiant light was extinguished too soon, as Bryce passed away on December 28, 2025, at Norton Scott Hospital in Scottsburg, Indiana, following a devastating car accident that has left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Bryce embodied the essence of kindness-a big-hearted individual whose generous spirit touched many lives. With a mischievous glint in his eye, he was known as a goofball, perpetually finding ways to coax smiles from friends and family alike, even during the most mundane of moments. His personality was nothing short of magnetic, drawing people in with his warmth and the genuine eagerness he had to make others happy. He approached life like an artist with a vibrant palette, carefully blending humor and love into each interaction, making every experience a joyful celebration.
Music was a passion that flowed through his veins, enriching his life and the lives of those around him. Bryce reveled in all genres, finding harmony wherever he might. In addition, he cherished his time outdoors, enjoying fishing and chasing basketballs with the same fervor he brought to everything he did. Each of these pastimes was a testament to his lively spirit, intertwining joy and adventure into the fabric of his existence.
He leaves behind a beloved family who will carry his memory with profound love. His mother, Deana Caudill Sheaffer of
Seymour, Indiana, will forever cherish her son's oversized heart and relentless spirit. His daughter, Brylee Sheaffer, and son, Kyler Sheaffer, will hold tight to the lessons of joy that their father instilled in them. His brother, Damon Sheaffer of
Seymour, Indiana, will reminisce about the childhood mischief they shared. The mother of his son and love of his life, Megan Lasher of Scottsburg, Indiana, remains a lasting connection amidst their shared bond.
In the shadow of this profound loss, the memories of Bryce Allen Sheaffer remain vibrant and everlasting. His joy, his laughter, and his indomitable spirit will echo in the hearts of those who loved him. Bryce is preceded in death by his father, Glen Sheaffer; his maternal grandmother, Sandy Caudill; and his paternal grandmother, Betty Sheaffer. Their absence is felt keenly, but the legacy of love and laughter that Bryce cultivated will continue to shine brightly in the lives he touched.
