Greta A. Sheaffer

Greta A. Sheaffer, 64, of Lewistown, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.

Born on June 7, 1961, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of Terry Wade, Sr. and the late Norma Kay (Snook) Wade.

In addition to her mother, Greta was preceded in death by her brother, Terry Wade, Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Henry Sheaffer of Lewistown; her children, Robert Wade and his wife, Chelsea, of Lewistown, Shanna Wade and her husband, Andrew McCarty, of Lewistown, and Cassie Grove and her husband, Dustin, of Thompsontown. She is also survived by seven cherished grandchildren, as well as her brothers, Tige Wade and his wife, Laurie, of North Carolina, and Todd Wade of McVeytown.

Greta attended Admiral Arthur W. Radford High School in Hawaii and always held fond memories of her time there. Earlier in life, she worked as a nurse's aide and later spent many years as a cook at Angelo's Italian Restaurant. She also generously volunteered with Shelter Services in Lewistown. Above all else, Greta treasured her role as a mother and grandmother.

A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 16, 2026, at King-Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown, with Pastor Chris Lutz officiating. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home from 5:30 p.m. until the time of the service.
