Miss Brytoyia Elizabeth Trishai Baynes, age 26, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025. Brytoyia was born on August 20, 1998, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Contoyia Abner and Bryon Baynes.
Brytoyia graduated from Bridgeport High School in 2016. Following graduation, she began her career in healthcare, a field she was passionate about, as it allowed her to help others. Brytoyia was a member of Made in His Image C.O.G.I.C., under the guidance of Pastor Herbert Morris. In her professional and church communities, Brytoyia was cherished, well-regarded, and known for her kind heart.
Brytoyia was recognized for her radiant smile, which could brighten any room. Brytoyia spread joy and positivity wherever she went. She enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends, sitting by the water. Her brothers, niece, and nephew were particularly dear to her.
Brytoyia is survived by her loving and devoted father, Bryon Baynes; grandmother, Mae Elizabeth Baynes; grandfather, James General; brothers, Quantae Abner, Curley Beavers, Bryon Baynes, and Byron Baynes, all of Saginaw, Michigan; niece, Leela Abner, Saginaw, Michigan; nephew, Kyrie Abner, Saginaw, Michigan; aunts, Jarvara Murphy, Saginaw, Michigan, and Kelly (Kevin) Norwood, West Memphis, Arkansas; great aunt, Dorothy Fawcett, Huntsville, Alabama; uncles, Tony Baynes, Saginaw, Michigan, Lyndon Baynes, Long Beach, California, James (Christina) Abner, Hemet, California, Demetre Wells, Dayton, Ohio, Gregory Gross, and James General Jr., Saginaw, Michigan, along with a multitude of other relatives and friends.
Brytoyia was preceded in death by her mother, Contoyia Abner; grandmother, Kelly Abner; grandfathers, Larnell Baynes and James Abner Jr.; great-grandfather, James Abner Sr.; and cousin, Onastacia Abner.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Demario Harris, Tony Baynes Jr., Charisse Zissler, and the staff at the Cleveland Clinic.
