Graveside services for Bubba Hinton, 67, of Taylor County, will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Wesley Cemetery. Visitation will take place 30 minutes prior to the service.
Bubba passed away at his residence on Monday, May 26, 2025. He was a member of Horeb Baptist Church and had been attending Junction City Baptist Church in recent years. He was known for his work as a skilled well driller, his love of fishing, and his gift for storytelling. Bubba lived simply, yet richly, through the relationships he built and the joy he brought to others.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John W. Hinton and Pearlie Youngblood Hinton; his parents-in-law, Herman and Virginia Wilson; and his nephew, Robbie Johnstone.
Bubba is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years, Jane Hinton; his children, Niki Simmons (Tyler) and Jonathan Hinton; and his beloved grandchildren, Jax and Lively Ruth Simmons. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Carol Johnston (Rob); niece, Jenifer Byrd (Michael); and nephew, Brad Roberson (Jamie).
Those who knew Bubba will remember him for his kind spirit, his humor, and the quiet strength he brought to every part of his life.
