Bubba Smith Obituary
Lacy Harold "Bubba" Smith, Jr. (Fudd) age 49 of Roanoke and formerly of Franklin County passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2023. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clinton Hodges, Euel Hall and Mildred Meeks; and numerous other relatives.
Bubba worked as a Pipe Fitter Fabricator for G. J. Hopkins and was a jack of all trades and used his skills to help anyone in need, a gesture that he really enjoyed, giving to others. He was a skilled word worker, and four wheeling and fishing were his true passions along with his family or just being in the outdoors. He always had a joke for any occasion or situation. He will truly be missed and loved by all that ever came across his path of life.
He is survived by his mother. Mae Conner; father, Harold Hodges; son, Ryan Smith; sister, Brigette "Fuffer" Caldwell (Travis); nephew, Seth Caldwell; grandmother, Mae Hodges; several aunts, uncles, and many cousins; special friends, Tara Gibson and Debra Manning. He is also survived by his work family at G. J. Hopkins.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 from 5 to 7 PM at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home.
