Bud Hoskins

Bud Hoskins, of London, Kentucky, was born on August 17, 1945, in Lebanon, Oregon. He was the son of the late Denver C. Hoskins and Bonnie Jean Bowling. He was united in marriage to his loving wife, Louise Hounchell Hoskins, who survives.

He is also survived by two daughters, Leena Napier and husband James of London, and Karen Carbajal and husband Adrian of Mulberry, Florida; two special children, Charles Wilson and Emma Caldwell Hoskins, both of London; two siblings, Mike Hoskins of Lawton, Oklahoma, and Geri Claiborne of Neodesha, Kansas; seven grandchildren, Coty Carbajal, Johnathan Carbajal, Abigail Chavez, Adrian Carbajal Jr., Logan Napier, Jacob Napier, and Kaylee Napier; eighteen great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other family and friends who will deeply mourn his passing.

Bud was a devoted Christian and a proud member of East Pittsburg Baptist Church. He loved the Lord and lived his life as a man of faith and kindness. Known for his friendly nature and love of conversation, Bud never met a stranger. For over 50 years, he dedicated his life to his profession as a barber, owning and operating Bud's Handy Barber Shop in Manchester, where he served his community with skill and joy.

A true lover of bluegrass music, Bud shared his passion as a DJ for a Sunday night bluegrass program on 105.7 FM in Manchester. He was also an avid Kentucky basketball fan who proudly "bled blue." Bud was a true patriot who faithfully served his country as a veteran of the United States Army. Above all Bud loved his family and church family more than anything.

Bud Hoskins went home to be with his Lord and Savior, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at the age of 80 years, 2 months, and 25 days.

The funeral service for Bud Hoskins will be conducted at 2 pm Saturday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Trevor Brummett and Denny McCowan officiating.

The family will receive friends beginning at 1 pm Saturday until the funeral hour of 2 pm at Bowling Funeral Home.
