Buddy Duane Champion

Buddy Duane Champion, age 61 of Macclenny, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2025 after an extended illness. Buddy was born to proud parents, George and Vickey (Cummings) Champion on September 28, 1963. At the young age of 17, Buddy began driving a semi truck for a living, a career that he was very passionate about for many years. When not on the road, Buddy loved saltwater fishing and spending time with family and enjoying a good cup of coffee. Buddy was a true people person.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Champion.

He is survived by his children, Jessica Champion of Glen St. Mary and Buddy Champion, Jr. of Sanderson; stepdaughter, Jessica Lynn Lynn; his beloved mother, Vickey Champion of Sanderson; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Vickey Lynn Morris of Lake City and Jennifer (Ronald) Mosley of Sanderson; as well as extended family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 20, 2025 in the chapel of Guerry Forbes Funeral Home at 12:00 PM with Rev. Justin Griffis and Rev. Ginger Blount officiating. The family will receive friends at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
