Mr. Franklin "Buddy" Waters, age 71, of Tennille passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at his residence following a brief illness. A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025, at 2:00 PM in Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville with Reverend Weston Williford officiating. The family will greet friends following the service in the cemetery.

Buddy was a lifelong resident of Sandersville, the son of the late Franklin George Waters and the late Marie Lewis Waters. He was a 1971 graduate of Washington County High School and retired from BASF as a heavy equipment operator. Buddy was an independent and private person, but he enjoyed riding the roads to sightsee and visit with friends and family. He also liked taking care of goats and other farm animals on his property. Buddy loved his family and was a caring and loving son, brother, and uncle who would do anything he could for his family.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Bobby Waters, Teresa Williford, and Donnie Waters; and nephews, Adam Russell, Daniel Waters, and Brad Crook.Buddy is survived by his brothers, Dean Waters, and Ronnie Waters (Cheryl) both of Warthen; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
