Bunnie Rae Jacobson

Bunnie Rae Jacobson, 83, of Fargo, ND, formerly of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2025, in The Meadows of Fargo, ND.

Bunnie was born on April 4, 1942, to Ralph and Doreen (Peterson) Jacobson, in Moorhead, MN. She grew up in Moorhead, MN, where she attended and graduated from Moorhead High School. She was united in marriage to Leroy Jacobsen in 1960, making their home in Moorhead where she raised their three children. She began working for the Moorhead Police Department as the Departments Secretary in 1976. She was the first person you saw when you entered the building and was great at dealing with all kinds of people on a regular basis. After 29 years of service, she retired in 2005.

Bunnie enjoyed traveling, especially out West to see her family in Washington. She also enjoyed going on cruises and to warm weathered area. She loved to scrapbook and was known as the family historian and genealogist and created many photo albums for many members of her family. In her retirement, she enjoyed looking at old case files, researching the contents and following the case from start to finish to see if proper justice was served. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bunnie is survived by her children, Randy (Shilawna) Jacobsen, Jill (James) Bala, and Robbie Jacobsen; grandchildren, Chris Jacobsen, Tyler (Alanna) Jacobsen, Kailee Bala, and Aimee (Riley) Bala; great grandchildren, Connor Bala, Elaina Bala, Willow Bala, Matilda Jacobsen, and one on the way; brother, Ralph Jacobson; and many other loving relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Doreen; sister, Joanne (Ron) Neel; sister-in-law, Yvonne Jacobson; and several beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be from noon to 1:00 P.M., followed by the memorial service at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN. A livestream of the service will be available here on Bunnie's webpage. Final resting place will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo, ND, following the services in Moorhead.
