Bunny Arini Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Harold W. Vick Funeral Home, Inc. - Mount Clemens on Feb. 3, 2024.
Bunny Arini, age 90, passed Thursday, February 1, 2024 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family. She was born on August 24, 1933 in Royal Oak Township, Michigan to Thomas and Emma Pratt and remained a life-long resident of the Madison Heights, MI community. Bunny and her husband Carlo lovingly celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary shortly before his passing on February 27, 2003.
She was a homemaker who will be remembered for her crafting talents, world class spaghetti, and baking skills, especially her famous cookies. While raising her family, Bunny and Carlo travelled annually with their children throughout the state and later across the country; gradually moving up from auto camping to tents and trailers. She enjoyed collecting souvenir spoons and rocks from all the places their family travelled over the years. Bunny and Carlo formerly attended Our Savior Lutheran Church in Madison Heights and often volunteered their time at St. John Hospital and Greenfield Village. They were active mall walkers at both Universal and Oakland Mall over the years, and Bunny continued to enjoy this activity with family and friends after her husband's passing.
Bunny's legacy lives on in the hearts of her daughter Cynthia Young, five grandchildren Lori, Steve, Matt, Jeremy, and Emily along with many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Bunny was preceded in death by her son Steve Arini, brother Harold Pratt, and sister Lorraine Arini.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024 at 11:00a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 38900 Harper Avenue, Clinton Township, MI 48036. Friends and family are welcome to gather starting at 10:00a.m. Friday. Burial will be at 2:00p.m. Friday at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy, MI. Memorial donations in memory of Bunny are suggested to Shriners Children's. Share memories, express condolences, and sign her online guestbook at www.vickfuneralhome.com.

Bunny was a mainstay on Tawas and also at Our Saviors Lutheran Church. She was a good walking buddy and hospital volunteer buddy for my Mom. I have many good memories of Bunny and Carlo and Cindy and Steve. My heartfelt condolences to Cindy and to the rest of the family.

I am so glad I was able to re-connect with Mrs. Arini in the past few years and thank her in person for hers and Carl's genuine friendship with the Purifoy's when we lived on Tawas. My wife and I were priviledged to have visited with Bunny at least twice while she still lived in the Legacy Arini home. Bunny was thoughtful enough to decorate early for Christmas when she knew I was coming because I had mentioned how extra special Christmas seemed to be on Tawas. I am also honored that I was able to visit with her best friend Laverne Morris a few times in recent years. Thank you Janet and John.

Bunny was one of the nicest people that lived on Tawas Street. Always happy and smiling, she was my Mom's very closest friend and loved by all who knew her. Although she'll be sorely missed, she is now reunited with Carl.

Bunny was one of the nicest people that lived on Tawas Street. I remember her growing up as always happy and smiling. She was one of my Mom's very closest friends and loved by all who knew her. Although she'll be sorely missed, I know she and Carl are together again.
