Henry M. Vaughn Jr.

Henry M. Vaughn, Jr., age 100, a resident of Clinton Township, Michigan passed Tuesday, March 10, 2026 in his home. He was born on February 1, 1926 in Wheatcroft, Kentucky to the late Henry and Lela (Farmer) Vaughn. He was united in marriage to the former Mary Ann DeKetelaere on October 9, 1948 in Mount Clemens, MI. Together they shared 69 years of marriage before she passed on August 24, 2018.

A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Henry served as a Seaman during World War II in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater from 1944 – 1946. He retired from Consumers Energy in 1985 after more than 25 years of service. In his younger years, Henry was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and archery, along with bowling and playing softball.

He is survived by his son James (Roxanne) Vaughn, daughters Kathleen (Garry) Doolittle, Peggy Vaughn, and Patricia Litteral, 7 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, Henry was also preceded in death by his brother James and sisters Edna and Mary Alice.
