Sandra Britton Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wasik Funeral Home - Shelby Township on Mar. 13, 2026.
Sandra Lee (Coldicott) Britton

Our beloved Mother, Sandra Britton passed away on March 11, 2026, surrounded by family. Sandy was born January 21,1943, in Highland Park, Mi. to Frederick Brian Coldicott and Mary Elizebeth (Jacobs) Coldicott. On November 24, 1959, she married the love of her life Reed Britton and shared 62 wonderful years together before his passing on 2-12-2022. They were a team in every sense, navigating life's joys and challenges side-by-side, together in life, together in death, their bond was inseparable. Sandy and Reed had five children together and raised them in Roseville, Michigan. Sandy was a devoted Mother to her children; she was the heart of our home.

Sandy attended Roseville High School, then worked and retired as a Bus Driver/Custodian for the Roseville School District. After retirement they moved to Cooker Creek Tennessee (their happy place) for several years then returned to Michigan and resided in Shelby Twp. to be near their children. She was also know for her legendary apple pie, which was a staple at every family gathering.

Sandy enjoyed traveling locally and internationally, photography, ancestry, flowers, a good meal, and most of all spending time with her family and friends. Sandy always shared her faith, her sincere personal relationship with Jesus, aiming to show his love and compassion to everyone. She was a devoted prayer warrior and trusted god above all circumstances. She was a quiet observer, a listener, and a steadfast source of wisdom, strength and incredible courage. Sandy was a loving and faithful friend to many. Sandy and Reed are former members of The River of Life Church in Tellico Plains, Tennessee and Sandy was a current member of Clinton Revival Center in Clinton Twp. Mi.

Sandy's memory will be forever cherished by her children: David (Michele) Britton. Debra (the late Bob) McCormack. DeeAnn (James) Lynch. Dina Britton and the late Daniel Britton. Beloved Nana to (15) grandchildren and (23) great grandchildren. Brother: Fred Coldicott. Sister: Becky (Gary) Obney. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Sandy extended her selfless motherly love to many, and all of them become her extended family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.

Sandy was preceded in death by her: devoted husband (Reed), parents and grandparents, her twin sister (Sally), Brothers (Glenn and Stephen Bach), son (Daniel), son in law (Bob), grandson (Jon Paul), great grandson (Arthur).
