Ronald Andrew Niewolak

Ronald A. Niewolak was born October 27, 1932 in Detroit ,MI to Andrew and Ann Niewolak (nee. Breske), and passed on Friday, February 27, 2026 at the age of 93.

Ron graduated from Denby High School in 1950 and worked as a IBM Operator until his enlistment in the U.S. Navy in 1952, where in spent 3 years and 11 months, on the USS Waccamaw fleet oiler, that he spoke of fondly after obtaining his honorable discharge in 1956.

After his discharge from the Navy, he married the love of his life, Helen Pastuszka, and made a family and happy memories for 67 years, until her passing in 2023.

Ron joined General Motors Corporation in 1957 as a Technical Stylist Engineer, where he had a very successful career where he held many design patents. After his retirement in 1988, Ron spent his time golfing, traveling, and spending time with Helen and their three boys.

Ron was a loving father of Steven (Rosemary) and Rodger (Terezia) Niewolak. Loving grandfather of Kelly and Lauren Niewolak, and grand puppies Lilo, Kenzi, and Gigi. He was preceded in death by his wife Helen and son Timothy.

Mass of Christian burial will be on Monday, March 9, 2026, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Shelby Twp. at 11:00 am. Ron will lie in state staring at 10:30 am. Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Wasik Funeral Home, Shelby Twp. from 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm, with a scripture service being said at 6:00 pm that evening.

Entombment will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Twp. directly after mass.
