Burnell D. Hoff, 80, of Manchester, MD entered into rest on Monday, February 16, 2026, to join his loving wife, Inge, in heaven.
He was born April 8, 1945 in Hanover, PA, to the late Willard and Hilda (Lease) Hoff.
Burnell was the loving husband to Ingeborg “Inge” (Marscheider) Hoff for 56 years.
Burnell was a graduate of North Carroll High School. As a young man, he served in the U.S. Army. Following his service, he spent his career working for Baltimore Gas & Electric Company.
Burnell also proudly built several houses. He was an active 4H member while growing up on the family farm which continued into fatherhood; He also served on the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery Board and enjoyed tinkering and traveling with his wife.
Burnell is survived by two sons, Ray Hoff and wife Lisa (Manchester, MD) and Mike Hoff and partner Kathy (Martinsburg, WV); grandchildren Krista, McKenna, Brady, Bracie; and great-grandchildren Janelle, Bennett, Brooke.
Burnell was predeceased by his wife Inge, daughter Sandra Oliver, and four siblings; Donald Hoff, Dale Hoff, Jean Fidler, Joan Wisner
Funeral services are private.
