Burt Brezinsky Obituary
Burt Brezinsky passed away on January 19th, at the age of 91, finally being reunited with the love of his life, his wife of almost 60 years, Merle. Burt was known as a scholar, a teacher, his love for his family and so much more. He was also known to not be able to run a marathon or jump over a house (although he would often tell you differently if you asked). Burt was a loving father to his children, Charles Brezinsky, Laura Blasco (Jeff Bauer), and Janine Sahlin. He was a devoted grandfather, often stepping into a father figure type role when needed, to Trent (Sarah), Terry, Kevin (Kasey), Jamie (Joe) and Randi and great grandfather to Skylar, Knightly, Keegan, Kessa, Karisa, Alexandria and James. In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation in Burt's honor be made to the Ray Graham Society, www.raygraham.org
Memorial service Tuesday, January 27, 2026 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Inurnment following at Shalom Memorial Park.
