Charles Leslie (Butch) Inlow, Sr.
April 12, 1938 – July 20, 2025 Charles Leslie Inlow, Sr. (Navy veteran) passed away peacefully on July 20, 2025, in Louisville, Kentucky, at the age of 87. He was born on April 12, 1938, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Butch is survived by his children (Lois Ann Inlow, Charles L. Inlow, Jr. Lisa Mattingly (Steve), Jeff Hart-Inlow (Chad), and Leah Inlow), 7 Grandkids (Chris, Jake, Lindsey, Lesley, Carter, Ally, and Veronica), 2 Great Grandkids (Brayden, and Skyla), two sisters (Mary Jane, and Linda), and two brothers (Bill, and Cliff). He was deeply loved by his family and all who knew him. Butch lived a life defined by quiet strength, deep loyalty, and service to others. After his US Navy enlistment, Butch signed on as a volunteer fire fighter for Black Mudd Fire Department, where he was given his call sign 'Red Inlow'. He spent 30+ years helping to protect his community and loved ones. His service embodied who he was: dependable, humble, and generous. Visitation will be held at Fern Creek Funeral Home (located at: 5406 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY 40291 ) on August 2, 2025 from 12:00pm to 4:00pm. Funeral Service will be held at St. Mark's Luthern Church (located at: 7153 Southside Dr, Louisville, KY 40214) on August 3, 2025 starting at 2:00pm. Burial will be a closed session so that the family may say one final good bye to their loved one in the VA cemetery in Radcliff, KY. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Crusade for Children in memory of "Red Inlow, Black Mudd Fire Department" Charles', Butch's, Red's legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the family he cherished, and the quiet example he set for all who knew him.
