Harold "Buzz" Annear, born October 16, 1942 to the late Harold and Lucie Annear, passed away Friday August 23, 2024 in Allouez, Wisconsin.
Buzz was in the Navy where he was a mechanic with the Fighter Squadron 32 Unit and served during the Cuban Missile Crisis. After serving in the Navy, he took a job in Itasca, Illinois working at a filling station. It was there that he met his future wife Diane and they were married May 1, 1965. He eventually opened his own towing and service station business, Buzz's Towing, in Boulder Junction, Wisconsin and later relocating to Hoffman Estates, Illinois. Buzz enjoyed his retirement moving to Green Bay, Wisconsin cheering on the Green Bay Packers.
Buzz is preceded in death by his wife Diane, who he was married to for 53 years before she passed in 2018 and his Mother-in-law and Father-in-law, Helen and Joe Popovits.
He is survived by his daughter Linda (Kevin) Pietro, his Grandsons Michael (Giana) and Nicholas (Michaela) Pietro, his sisters Marcia Fraser and Jeanne (Dan) Van Rite and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1307 Lourdes Avenue, De Pere, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 27, 2024. A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. James Baraniak, O. Pream. celebrating. Interment will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, Illinois at a later date.
The family would like to thank the staff at The Court at Eden Vista and the also the staff at St. Croix Hospice who made his stay comfortable and Ryan Funeral home for assisting the family.
