Byford A. "Bob" Basham

Byford A. "Bob" Basham, 71, a resident of Carol Stream, IL, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025, after a short battle with cancer. Bob was born and raised in Chicago, IL, and was a lifelong country music lover and an avid outdoorsman. Always a cowboy at heart, he entered bulldogging events at local rodeos and played Black Bart in western gunfight shows for some years. While earning a living in inside sales, his heart remained a cowboy.
He is survived by his wife of twenty-two years, Ann Walper, and his niece, Rebecca Buss nee Basham. He was preceded in death by his father, Byford G. Basham, his mother, Eleanore Basham nee Dvorak, and his brother, Walter Basham (Gladys).
Services will be private.
