Byron Cagle Obituary
Byron grew up on the West Coast and graduated from the Riverside School for the Deaf in Riverside, California. He relocated to Ten Mile, TN where he was known affectionately throughout the community as "Grunt." He was a man whose heart and humor left a mark on everyone who knew him.
He was the kind of guy who was always happy to "work for food," and he never missed a chance to volunteer to clean up-mostly because that meant he got first shot at the leftovers. His easygoing attitude and quick grin made every gathering a little brighter and every meal a little more memorable.
Byron was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Dorothy Cagle, his twin brothers Lloyd and Boyd "Beno" Cagle, and his brother Glen "Eddy" Cagle.
He is survived by his brothers Bill Cagle (Kathy) and Dickey Cagle (Brucie), and sisters Frances Weaver, Elaine "Peanut" Olsen (Chuck), and Sherry DeGrange (Ron).
Graveside services will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Old Fashion Baptist Church Cemetery, 181 County Road 322, Sweetwater, TN 37874. Pastor Goins of Watts Bar Community Church will be presiding.
A gathering will follow the graveside service at his sister Frances' home, located at 322 Blue Springs Circle, Ten Mile, TN 37880. Family and friends are invited to share memories, offer condolences, and celebrate Byron's life in the joyful and lighthearted way he would have wanted.
