Byron went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 23, 2025. He was one of the most loving and caring men I have ever known, with a heart bigger than words can describe. He loved deeply, and his compassion for people was endless.
His love for Jesus was immense, and he never missed an opportunity to share the Word of God with anyone he could. I am so grateful that he brought me to his church family. He carried a powerful testimony and was incredibly proud of how far he had come. We shared a beautiful love story, and I will forever cherish the time we had together.
Byron found great joy in speaking and preaching at the Nehemiah House, serving in his men’s ministry at church, and talking about the Lord with anyone willing to listen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Joyce Godair Colclasure Jr.; and his grandparents, Earl and Etta Raper Colclasure Sr., and Louie L. and Jennie Boggan Godair.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Kim Colclasure; his stepson, Cole Dunn; Natalie; his step-grandson, Jackson; Cooper; Jessey; his siblings, Rudy Colclasure, Denise Edye (Lewis) Morris, and Beth (Sonny) Fitzpatrick; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, his dear friend, John Allen - his father figure for over over 30 years and business partner - and many dear friends.
Rest in peace, Byron. You will never be forgotten, and I will see you again.
All my love forever,
Kim
