Byron Lee Constantine, 86, went home to be with the Lord on February 23, 2026, in Azle, Texas.

Born on July 11, 1939, in New London, Connecticut, Byron lived a life defined by faith, devotion, hard work, and deep love for his family. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for four years, carrying the values of honor and service with him throughout his life.

Following his military service, Byron dedicated 34 years of faithful employment to Bell Helicopter as an electrician. His strong work ethic, steady hands, and integrity earned the respect and admiration of all who worked alongside him.

Above all, Byron was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He shared 63 beautiful years of marriage with the love of his life, Sue Constantine. Their enduring partnership was a testament to commitment, faith, and unwavering love.

He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Bruce Constantine.

He leaves behind his cherished wife, Sue Constantine; his daughter, Melanie Spillman and her husband, Ernie Spillman; his granddaughters, Bailey Spillman and Heather Herack; his grandson, Brady Constantine; and seven precious great-grandchildren who brought him immense pride and joy.

Byron found joy in the simple and meaningful blessings of life. He loved singing in his church choir, lifting his voice in praise with a heart full of faith. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, woodworking, and reading. He could often be found watching his favorite westerns, appreciating stories of courage and character. He also loved playing the guitar and bird watching — especially delighting in the beauty of hummingbirds. Whether working with his hands, tending his garden, or sitting quietly with a book, Byron embraced life with gratitude and steady contentment.

His gentle spirit, quiet strength, and steadfast faith will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Byron’s life was a reflection of love, service, and devotion to God and family.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.”
