Betty Constantine Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Evans Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services - Forest Hill on Dec. 21, 2025.
Betty Lee Constantine, 85, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her children and close friends. Born on October 30 in Pittsburg, Kansas, Betty was the beloved daughter of Max and Virginia Gaston. Her family later moved to Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, where she met her first husband, Bill, and where her lifelong love of the Pittsburgh Steelers began.
Betty was a teacher at heart in every sense of the word. During her years teaching English in the Baltimore County Public School System, she shared her love of reading and learning with countless students, many of whom she impacted far beyond the classroom. Books, stories, and thoughtful conversation were some of her greatest joys. A devoted member of St. Ignatius Church for many years, Betty's faith remained strong even when illness no longer allowed her to attend services. She lived her faith daily through her kindness, generosity, and the deep care she showed to everyone around her.
Family was Betty's greatest treasure. She was the heart and soul of a large, close-knit family, always ready with encouragement, understanding, and unconditional love. Her warm smile, gentle wisdom, and giving spirit touched all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband, George; her brother, Rob; and her children: Kim, Bill (Marlene), Mark (Amy), Tim (Noreen), John (Susan), George (Holly), and Matt. She was a devoted grandmother to Camden, Michael, Joshua, George, Sean, Andrew, Nolan, John, Katie, George, Tess, Grace, Matthew, Laila and Cole and a cherished great-grandmother to Greyson, Oliver, and George. Betty was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill, and her parents.
Our family has lost an angel, and heaven has gained one. Though our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for a life so fully lived and so deeply loved. Family and friends will honor and celebrate Betty's life at Evans Life Celebration Home-3 Newport Drive (Rts 23 and 24) Forest Hill on Friday, December 26 from 10AM-12 Noon with the service immediately following.
