Byron Lester Ellsworth, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, was born on October 4, 1955, in Killeen, Texas. He peacefully passed away, surrounded by his family, on September 16, 2025, in Farmington, New Mexico.
Byron was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Ellsworth of Harrisville, Michigan; his daughter, Sarah Lynn Ellsworth of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and his parents, Truman J. Ellsworth and Elanora M. Ellsworth of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Paula K. Ellsworth, and his cherished grandchildren, Elisa M. Valles, Ethan P. Ellsworth, and Alexander J. Ellsworth. He is also survived by his sisters, Judy Marks and Susie Profazi, along with many other family members and friends who will hold his memory close.
Byron proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1974 until 1993. Following his military service, he dedicated the past 22 years to serving as a government contractor with the Air Force Research Laboratory.
He was a devoted father, brother, and friend whose love and steady presence touched the lives of all who knew him. Byron will be remembered for his service, his kindness, and his unwavering love for his family. He will be greatly missed.
