Byron "Elwood" Glover
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Byron "Elwood" Glover, who departed this life on July 1, 2025, at the age of 82. Mr. Glover was born on March 21, 1943 in Pavo, Georgia to the late John Marvin and Levenia Bryant Glover.
Elwood is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Janis Glover; his two sons, Hank Glover (Stephanie) and Byron Glover (Nancy); his sisters, Brenda Green and Nancy Spivey; three granddaughters and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Wayne Glover; and siblings, Emory Glover, Dorothy Taylor, Martha Hancock, Joe Glover, Charles Glover and Virginia Strickland.
Elwood cherished the bonds of family and will be remembered for his kindness, work ethic and love for those close to him. He will be profoundly missed by all who knew him and his memory will continue to be cherished in the hearts of his family and friends.
Elwood will be laid to rest at Big Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family invites friends, relatives and loved ones to join them in celebrating Elwood's life and legacy Saturday, July 5, 2025 at Allen and Allen Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00pm. The family will receive friends and guests immediately following the service in the Chapel.
