Allen & Allen Funeral Home and Crematory - ThomasvilleWillie L. Davis, 80, of Barwick, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, the 17th of March, 2026.
He was born the 14th of November, 1945 to the late George Washington Davis and Jessie Lou Davis. He grew up in Kennedy Chapel Free Will Baptist Church and was most recently a faithful member of the Barwick Baptist Church.
Willie was a dedicated associate of Sunnyland Foods in Thomasville, Georgia, for more than 35 years and before his retirement he worked at Flowers Baking Company of Thomasville, where he made many friends.
He was a devoted husband to his late wife, Bonnie Faye Yowhn Davis, until her death in 2017. He loved to garden and plant flowers. Willie, loved to bake Pecan Pies and deliver to his friends around Barwick and to his family.
Willie was a true "Ambassador" for the city of Barwick, he loved his city, that he called home, always willing to help anyone and any local businesses'. He would always be about his town helping anyway that he could.
Willie is survived by his sister, Judy Scott; his brother-in-law, Doyle Yowhn and Linda; sister-in-law's: Winona Y. Taylor; Janice Y. Hart and husband, James; Kay Y. Vonier and husband, Edward. Although, Willie and Bonnie Faye never had children they had several nephews and nieces that he considered his own.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Robert Davis, and sister Georgia Williamson.
He will by missed by his family and the Barwick community.
A Service to Celebrate Willie's life will be held at the Graveside at 11:00 AM, Saturday the 21st of March, 2026 at Rosewood Cemetery (Barwick Baptist Church Cemetery).
