Byron Harold Lipper entered the physical presence of Jesus on February 16, 2025. Beloved father, son, brother, and friend, Byron impacted a room and altered a conversation with his quick wit and disarming love of people.
Byron was born in 1970 in Denver, Colorado to Donald H. Lipper and Patricia L. Wright Lipper. Don and Pat longed to come back to Texas and returned "home" in 1977 when they moved with Byron, and his older brother, Chris, to Plano. In 1980, the family relocated to Fort Worth, moving into the same home Pat lives in today. In 1989, he graduated from Southwest High School. In 1994, he graduated from Baylor University, with a degree in Psychology, reflecting his desire to understand people. Upon graduation, he moved to Dallas, which became his home for the next 30 years. He used his gift with people to develop a career in software sales and sales leadership. He was always available to mentor young people in the industry. In 2008, he received his MBA from the SMU Cox School of Business. He married Jennifer Doe Lipper in 1997, a wonderful mother to their two sons, William W. Lipper and Samuel B. Lipper. William and Sam were Byron's greatest treasures on earth. He was delighted by their intelligence, leadership skills, and athleticism. With satisfaction, he guided them in becoming Eagle Scouts - something he wished he did. William and Sam reflect Byron's passion for people, the outdoors, sports, music, and Texas. Byron is also survived by his daughter-in-law, Libby Odneal Lipper, wife of Sam.
Byron has reunited in Heaven with his earthly father, Don Lipper, where they are hopefully able to fish together. He is survived by his mother, Pat Lipper, who marveled at his sense of adventure, that kept her on her knees in prayer! She cherished their hours-long talks about Jesus, current events, and family history. He is survived by his older brother, Chris, with whom he shared love for Baylor sports, The Ticket radio, U2, and Rich Mullins. He leaves behind his sister-in-law, Kristie Schupbach Lipper, nephew Joshua Lipper, and niece Jessica Lipper, who all know the Thanksgiving table will never be the same without his jokes and wry facial expressions. His family and friends look forward to being with Byron at the Great Banquet Table in Heaven.
