C. Coniglio Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Banks/Page-Theus Funerals and Cremations on Jan. 8, 2026.
C. John Coniglio, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026, one day shy of his 94th birthday. His life was a testament to hard work, integrity, and dedication to his faith.

John is preceded in death by his parents; John and Carmen Coniglio, brother; George Coniglio, and wife of 43 years, Annette Coniglio.

He was a graduate of Hillsborough High School and pursued higher education at the University of Florida and Stetson Law School. His passion for justice led him to a distinguished career in law, practicing in Sumter County for over 40 years. John also served in the US Naval Reserves, embodying the values of duty and honor.

John's legacy lives on through his children: son C. John Coniglio, Jr. (Cheri), daughters Cathy Sperring (David) and Debbie Kincaid (Roger), stepchildren Brenda Bland (Dana) and Marty Bramlett (Kathy), as well as nieces Cindy Upcavage (Bob) and Stephanie White (Coleman). He was a proud grandfather to Jason Morris (Shantal), Jaime Coniglio (Nicholas), Andrew Coniglio, Kim Adorante (Tony), Maggie Bailey, Shelby Carlson (Charlie), Nicholas Bramlett, Joshua Bramlett, and Abby Bailey, and six great-grandchildren: Dylan, Ava, Tyler, Zane, Emerie, and Eden. Family was his pride and joy and he enjoyed every moment spent with them.

A devout Catholic, John was known for his unwavering faith. He was committed to his community and touched the lives of many through his kindness, generosity, and willingness to help others. He was a man of principle who lived his life with integrity and grace, earning the respect and admiration of all who knew him.

While John's passing leaves a void in the hearts of his family and friends, his spirit will continue to inspire others.

A visitation will take place on Wednesday January 21, 2026 at 11:00 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Wildwood, FL, with a Funeral Mass to follow at 12:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in John's memory to a charity of your choice, honoring his legacy of compassion and service.

Burial at Andersonville National Cemetery will take place at a future date.

Dear Coniglio Family, my deepest condolences in the passing of John, a true gentleman who cared deeply for many including my Collura family. We shared mutual family and many conversations on those we cared very much about. May God's blessings be with each of you as John earned his wings the day before his 94th birthday. On his birthday, as I have before, I posted to his FB acct in celebration and in a text directly. Wish i knew how to spell his name as we always pronounced in Italian.
