Portland - C. Jane Cote-Levesque, 85, of Portland, passed away at home on October 12, 2025, with family by her side. Jane was born on March 3, 1940, in Winchendon, MA. The daughter of Brady and May (Girard) Forrester. Jane grew up and attended schools in the Winchendon area.
After School Jane married Curtis A. Cote. In 1969, they moved to Portland, Maine. Curtis passed away in 1976. Jane met and married Richard Levesque in 1995. She worked as a Cosmetologist and spent over 20 years working for Shaw's in Falmouth. In the 1980's Jane was involved in the organization Parents without Partners, where she took an active role in organizing events.
Jane enjoyed gardening, dancing, the beach, and RVing. She loved the time spent with family and friends.
Jane is survived by her children Michael D. Cote, his wife Mattie, Steven C. Cote, Linda J. Barbera, and her husband Michael Barbera. Her grandchildren, Kayla Kimball, Tyler Cote, Aidan Barbera and step- grandson, Nicholas A. Barbera, as well as 6 great grandchildren. Brother, John Forrester of Arizona.
She was predeceased by both husbands, her parents Brady and May, her sister, Donna Allard and brother, Tom Forrester.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025 from 12:30 to 3:30pm at Bruno's, 33 Allen Avenue, Portland, ME 04103.
