C.E Hambrick Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Moore-Cortner Funeral Home - Winchester on Dec. 30, 2025.
C.E. Hambrick, age 89, of Huntland, Tennessee, passed away on December 29, 2025, at Highpoint Health in Winchester, Tennessee. He was born on March 20, 1936, in Princeton, Alabama, to the late Calvin and Eliza Anderson Hambrick. On October 15, 1954, he married the love of his life, Barbara. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to Joliet, Illinois, where he worked for the EJ & E Railroad. After several years, they returned to Franklin County to be closer to family. Upon returning home, C.E. began a career in construction. Through years of hard work and dedication, he became a contractor and founded Hambrick Construction. After retirement, he and his wife spent many enjoyable years setting up as vendors at the Monteagle Flea Market, something they both truly loved. C.E. was a faithful member of Huntland Missionary Baptist Church. He loved his family and friends deeply and held his church close to his heart. He enjoyed reading, watching westerns, woodworking, NASCAR, traveling especially to the Smoky Mountains, riding in his golf cart, and most importantly, he loved Jesus. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Barbara Hambrick; daughter, Diane Everett; grandson, Spencer Walls; and brothers, Clarence Hambrick and Robert Hambrick. He is survived by his loving daughter, Gail Walls and husband Mark; son-in-law, Bill Everett; sister, Jewel Casey; grandchildren, Nikki Lee and husband Cameron, Brittni Sons and husband Brandon, and Kelsea Walls; and great-grandchildren, Kelton Sons, Kendyl Sons, Ryland Lee, Bryce Lee, and Holden Lee. Visitation will be held at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Moore Memorial Cemetery in Huntland.
