C. W. Driskell of Lithia Springs, went to his Heavenly home February 19, 2025 at the age of 94.
C.W. was born the youngest of four children to H.H. Driskell and Lydia Pace Driskell in Temple, GA.
Faith and family were the cornerstones of C.W.'s life. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, as well as friend to many. Frequently dedicating his time and energy to others, C.W.'s ministry was serving those less fortunate than he. His generosity, love, and steadfastness in his faith will be a cherished memory in the hearts of those that loved him.
C.W. was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Driskell; his parents, H.H and Lydia Driskell; and his siblings, Marvin, William "Garrett", Bob, and Roy.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Carole Driskell; children, Brenda Shaw (James), Wanda Latham (Lloyd), and Shannon Chambers (Chad); step-children, Carla Toler (Tracy), Vicki Freeman (David), Mark Werling (Celine), Brent Werling, and Lynda Bullock (Delbert); sister-in-law, Rose Driskell; grandchildren, Charles Robins, Jennifer Smallwood (Rodney), Stephanie Kelley (Wendell), Mackenzie Nelson (Jeremy), Madysun Collins (Beau), Josh Freeman, Jenna Freeman, AnnaBelle Weyland, Andrew Werling, Michael Bullock, and Jacob Bullock; twelve great-grandchildren (with one on the way!), and many beloved extended family and friends.
A memorial service honoring C.W.'s life will be held on Friday, February 28, 3:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 PM before the service.
Flowers are kindly accepted, however, in lieu of flowers, donations in C.W.'s memory may be made to a foundation that was very dear to his heart, Sweetwater Mission, at https://www.sweetwatermission.org/.
For anyone wishing to view the service virtually, a livestream link will be available on C.W.'s Tribute Page on Davis-Struempf's website at the above-listed service time.
