Caddie Romaine Barth Icenhower, 84, of Warwood, WV, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home.
She was born on January 21, 1941, in Wheeling, WV, daughter of the late Robert H. and Eva Faye Heidelbach Barth.
Caddie was a homemaker and a member of Temple Shalom, Wheeling, WV. Caddie was known as the family historian and could tell you the birthday of anyone she met. Most people who knew her would say she was sweet & kind and cute as a button.
Caddie was a past member of the Warwood United Methodist Church. During her marriage, she embraced the community and teachings of Judaism while also acknowledging her Methodist roots. Though she never formally converted to Judaism, her deep respect and connection to both her Christian upbringing and her husband's faith were an important part of her spiritual life, reflecting her open heart and inclusive spirit.
In addition to her parents, Caddie was preceded in death by her husband, Sanford A. Icenhower; children, Rob Garrison and Samantha Icenhower; brother, Charles (Pat) Barth; and sister, Marjorie (Harry) Brookes.
She is survived by her two children, Patrick Garrison (Linda) of Chesapeake, VA, Erica Icenhower of Wheeling, WV; three grandchildren, Megan Morris of Elizabeth City, NC, Kayla Ferrell (Matt) of Chesapeake, VA, Sean Garrison (Tiffany) of Virginia Beach, VA; eight great grandchildren, Gavin, Connor, Aubrey, Adilyn, Lillian, Kaia, Juliette and Mattox; several nieces and nephews; and good friend, Cheryl Bowman.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, from 4-7 pm at Kepner Funeral Home - Burke Chapel, 2101 Warwood Avenue, Wheeling, WV 26003 (304-277-2722) where services will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 10 am with Rabbi Josh Lief officiating. Interment to follow at Winding Hill Cemetery, Bellaire, OH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wheeling Health Right, Inc., 61 – 29th Street, Wheeling, WV 26003.
