     Cade Allen, 19, of Carmi passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro, IL. He was born on December 18, 2006 in Fairfield, IL the son of Whitney R. Barbre and Zachary S. Allen.

     Cade was a 2025 graduate of Carmi White County High School where he excelled in athletics, playing football, basketball and baseball. He was named to the All-Black Diamond Conference 2nd Team as a senior and Honorable Mention as a junior in football and during his sophomore season of baseball was the team Defensive MVP. Outside of school, Cade was a hard worker, where he owned and operated his own lawn care business, Cade's Lawn Care. Cade enjoyed spending time with his friends mudding and fishing. His biggest pride was working and buying parts for his truck and he enjoyed wheeling and dealing for old cars and parts.

     Cade is survived by his parents, Whitney Barbre and Zach Allen; grandparents, Shannon Roser, Tim (Kristy Groves) Barbre and Diana and Phil Johnson; great-grandmother, Joyce Barbre; siblings, Aydan Allen, Kyson Allen, Zach Barbre, Stephen Barbre, Jeffery Barbre and Savanna Barbre; aunts and uncles, Sydney and Tate Collins, Briley Puntney, Tyler Barbre, Josh and Janette Allen and Abbey and Chris Thomas; cousins, Cainan, Tatim, Hallie, Hendrix, Presli, Beatrice, Everleigh, Emerson, Bowie and Goldie; along with numerous extended family members and friends.

     Funeral Services for Cade Allen, 19, of Carmi will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 23, 2026 at Emmanuel Church, 203 Edgewood Lane, Carmi, IL 62821. Burial will be in Hammack Cemetery in Springerton, IL. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Church and again on Friday, January 23, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Cade's memory to White County Cheer for a Cure. Envelopes will be available at the church or donations can be mailed to Campbell Funeral Home, 609 W. Main St., Carmi, IL 62821 who is assisting the family with arrangements.
