Hello,
We wanted to let your family and friends know that we are sending Care Packages to deployed troops this week and several of these will be dedicated to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo and hometown of Caleb Paul Christopher US Army Sergeant.
We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals from across the American youth hockey community, their families and friends and others who support our mission.
We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you safe and strong.
Sincerely,
Charlie Gili & Family

I hardly knew Caleb, but the impression he made was a lasting one. I still think of him and remember his kindness. I cannot believe a decade has passed since he left this world. My heart still breaks for the loss his family has endured.
Caleb, you may not be here among us in person, but you can take comfort that in every remembrance and every thought on your kind spirit, you still live. You will never be forgotten.
Thank you for your sacrifice.

Not a day goes by that you are not in my heart... you made me who I am today and I never regret leaving everything I knew to move to California. We shared one entire year together each day waking up next to you by my side. Then you left for the 8 months that you were overseas. June 3 2007 a part of me died with you. You are my soul mate and best friend. I was very lucky to have found you and share that small period of time with you. You loved me until the day you took your last breath and I will love you until my last breath. I Love you Caleb, Forever and Always. You may have left this earth but you will never leave my heart.

Caleb, its hard to believe that another year has passed. I still remember the first time we met and hung out as friends. Your smile and your laugh could light up the darkest of rooms. I have missed our talks for some time now and only wish that we could have hung out more. You will always be in my heart and on my mind, not only for the sacrifices that you made, but for the person that you were. You are one of the reasons I joined the military and no matter what, you will always be my hero. I feel better knowing that there is someone like you up there smiling down on all of us. Love your way and to your family.
Love always,

We miss you SOOO Much and though time has passed your memory is still as fresh in our mind and hearts as the days when you played video games in our living room, ate licorice and taquitos, played scrabble and swam in our pool. Right now I am working during the Memorial day weekend. I am flying on a aircraft about four times a day. Having all types of passengers on board. Many are service members past and present. Uniform or no uniform, hat or no hat, pin or no pin. At least once a day I have someone of service on board. I have to say we always try to say somehing in honor of our current servicemen and woman and the fallen- "May they never be forgotten!" Your picture Caleb has been posted in our lounge since last year at this time. (I asked Jere if it was ok!) I see your face and the faces of other soliders on that board. I miss you!!! You were so quiet when you were little. I met you when you were seven or so. You looked so cute at Jere and Kristi's wedding. I also see that picture every time I'm at my parents place. I believe that was the last time I saw you it was in my mom's kitchen. I remember it vividly. I was so impressed at how big you had gotten. Not quiet but a solider in the U.S. ARMY! I am very proud of you and wish you were here so we could have gotten closer. Talk MUSIC! You are a "SIMPLE MAN" that song I will always remember you by! I love you and your family very much. I will try to take the best care of them and look out for them. We will miss you at Sarah's wedding. She's got a good guy and you would approve :) But hey you will be THERE - always in our HEARTS! Say hi to Christie for us and give her a big hug. Love, (your sister in law by mariage) Kara Auld

I had the honor to meet Caleb back in 2004 when he came home from Iraq the first time, I was dating one of his friends at the time... He was a great man and a great friend. I miss him greatly and hope that his family is doing well. I was in Basic training for the Army when I found out that he had been KIA, it broke my heart to find this news out. I dedicate my military career to him, I strive to do better because of people/soldiers like him. I'm currently deployed overseas and I think about the good friend that I lost on this foreign land and I think of ways to keep him alive by doing my mission well. Love and miss you Caleb, Heaven is definitely a better place since you got there and I know that you are watching over everyone that you knew and loved. If any of Caleb's family or friends need anything, please don't hesitate to ask me. He meant alot to so many people and is truly missed.

The Wind on The Downs
“I like to think of you as brown and tall,
As strong and living as you used to be,
In khaki tunic, Sam Brown belt and all,
And standing there and laughing down at me.
Because they tell me, dear, that you are dead,
Because I can no longer see your face,
You have not died, it is not true, instead
You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe;
I hear you laughing as you used to do,
Yet loving all the things I think of you;
And knowing you are happy, should I grieve?
You follow and are watchful where I go.”
(Written by Marian Allen during World War l )
Two lines that I wish you to keep near your heart…….
“You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe”
I did not know Caleb, but I am remembering
his service. He is my hero. !

The Other Side
i'm over on the other side
where life and death softly divide.
left my skin and bones behind
now i'm over on the other side.
can you feel me there with you?
my breath is gone but i'm not through.
loved you then and i still do
from over on the other side.
i can fly. really fly.
below the earth ... all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.
it's good here on the other side.
the sweetest songs...the bluest skies.
thank you for the tears you cried
but it's good here on the other side.
i can fly. really fly. below the earth...all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side
the world is smaller than a needle's eye.
where life and death softly divide.
when you leave your skin and bones behind
i'll be waiting on the other side.
i can fly. really fly. below the earth ... all through the sky.
go tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

It's been nearly a year now since that quiet day you made your last flight home. I still choke up when I think about the sacrifice you made for your family, loved ones, and country.

He was recruiting in California and one of the schools he was recruiting for was Corona High School. I was a senior there and I would go eat lunch with him oftin just because I thought he was such a wonderful person. He came to watch me sing a solo and the Christmas solo concert cause I asked him to, and it meant a lot to me cause I didn't think he would come. I am deeply sorry to hear that he is no longer with us anymore. He would have made a great husband to the woman he was with and I know that he loved her very much. Most of my pain and sympathies go to her and I will pray for her and her broken heart in losing such a great man and a wonderful person. He had a great purpose in life and I truly believe he was a hero.

To the family of Caleb Christopher: There is nothing I could ever do in my lifetime that would live up to the sacrifice and heroism your son, brother, uncle, etc. gave to protect the rest of us in this great country. I only hope and pray you think of your hero as that and help everyone you have a contact with understand why what he did is so important to the rest of us. God bless you and all the other families you are dealing with the loss of a loved one. I hope you have the strength, love, and support of eachother to get through this. May god bless you and once again, THANK YOU CALEB FOR YOUR ULTIMATE SACRIFICE.

There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.
Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.
I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON (KIA on 07/06/07) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.

We can't imagine what you have been going through since being notified of the death of your young Warrior. The Military and families all over the USA and world are grieving with you and praying for you. What a very brave individual you have in your family that would give up a life for their homeland and its people so they can remain free. Your Freedom Fighter has served the Country above and beyond the call of duty, let no one ever tell you different. With the mission now completed your Warrior has been redeployed to Heaven to sit on the right hand of the Supreme Commander and Chief. The Father above has Caleb in his arms and will give him peace as well as eventually easing your pain and suffering. God speed to you and Sgt. Caleb P. Christopher, our HERO. To the brave family of Caleb P. Christopher, a true American Hero.
I cannot begin to imagine the grief you are enduring. Rebbecca, you never had the chance to walk down that aisle but you do have a true and forever lasting love that will live within you. I am a sister of The Tactical Training Sargent for S.W.A.T. I have prayed for more than 18 years now that my brother will return home from his shifts, and all the times he is called out because he is needed. I know that God is with him, yet it is a natural feeling to be uncertain and afraid when you hear the evening news. All of you must be very proud of Caleb, and his death was a loss to our country that he served with great courage and strength. Your family will be in my prayers.I am eternally grateful for the service of Caleb Paul Christopher.

To the Family of a fallen hero,
My prayers are with you at a time like this. I too lost my son in this war. He was 21 yrs old and was Lance Corporal Jeffrey Davis Walker. He was kia on the 14th of May in Irac of this yr also. It is so hard to believe he is gone but I keep saying to myself that he has a new job. That is standing guard with our heavenly father and welcoming our boys that have fallen for such bravery and honor positions. They were fighting for our freedom and they will never be forgotton!! June 14, 2007
To the Family and Friends of this Soldier:
I will stand in grief with this soldier's family to honor him. For every fallen HERO there is a bright star that shines in the evening sky to remind us of the cherished gift we were given – even if for too short a time.
My heart breaks again as I sign yet another guest book of another courageous young soldier who gave their life so selflessly. I wish I never found myself in a position to have to sign another guestbook for the rest of my life, but I promised Brent that neither he nor any like him would be forgotten and so I will continue until the day there is no longer the need.
We lost our son SFC Brent A. Adams on 12/1/05 and it seems like yesterday. I wish so badly there were things I could say to you right now to make the pain you are feeling go away, but I know first hand there simply are no words that will bring you the comfort and peace your heart aches for. Just know that you are not alone. My heart, thoughts, and prayers are with you all as you go through this tragedy moment by moment and as you mourn this loss.
We don't know each other, will probably never meet, but will forever be united in the loss of our Heroes. We have, unfortunately joined a group none of us wanted to join, an ever-growing group of families in this situation. May God grant you peace and strength to get through this and be able once again to smile at a memory rather than have only the tears that flow so easily now. To be so proud of your loved one and so saddened at the same time is a mix of emotions very difficult to deal with as our hearts both burst with pride and pain together.
I am sorry that I never knew your soldier personally. While they can never be replaced, neither will they ever be forgotten. You must trust that sometime, someday the loving memories you have will help to sustain you and help you go on. This courageous soldier will forever be your Angel watching over you all for the rest of your lives. It's what brings me some measure of peace and comfort and I hope it will you as well.
To his family and friends in pain, I offer this comfort: When you find yourself in that dark sorrowful place, think not only of how you will miss him, but instead recall the years, days, hours and minutes gifted to you by his presence. The one thing that cannot be taken from you is your wonderful memories that now will mean more than ever.
If you ever want to talk, I'm only an e:mail away and would love for you to tell me more about your Hero.
God Bless this soldier and family who gave all and God Bless legacy.com for setting up this site where families can so quickly share their condolences and prayers with others like themselves.

I pray that the deep hurt you feel can be in some part be eased by the feeling of great pride for Caleb’s’ valor and deep sense of patriotism. He will always be remembered as an American Hero by my family and we will never forget the great sacrifice made by your family.
In spite of all that happened here in New York City that dark Tuesday morning nearly six years ago, millions continue to live and work here without fear, because of our awesome U.S. Military. We still stand tall and proud here today, thanks to wonderful people such as your Caleb.
To Caleb I would say you have made the ultimate sacrifice and did so willingly and without hesitation. Thank you so very much for defending my freedoms. It means so much to me, to the people of NYC and to the entire nation. Thank you for your bravery and sacrifice in the service of the country that I love so very much.
John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
May God be with you until we all meet a Jesus’ feet.
Most Sincerely,
Pat – NYC (6 miles from “Ground Zero”)

My heart goes out to you in this time of loss and grief. Reading about Caleb and seeing his pictures has brought him alive for me and, I'm sure, for many others who hadn't had the privilege of meeting him. May the love and support of others bring you comfort, and please know that Caleb will not be forgotten.

We will always remember Caleb as a bright young man who always knew what was good in life, how to treat others with respect and caring and then never did less than his best. We will miss you Caleb.

Words cannot express the pain of the loss of a precious child, husband, or father and there is no greater sacrifice than your family has made today. We did not have the privilege of knowing Caleb personally, but on behalf of the Webster-Hollingsworth family and as the Founder of Military Support Online Network (Mil-SON), I offer you our deepest sympathy along with our utmost respect and heartfelt gratitude for the precious gift Caleb so honorably gave to serve and protect you, his loved ones, and his country! Although your hearts are broken, we hope you find some small measure of peace and comfort in the knowledge that God only takes the best and there is none better than a Warrior in the United States Military! We are told in Psalms 34:18 that “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” We pray now that God will encircle you with the comfort of his presence and uphold you in the days to come with His righteous right hand! As members of your extended Military family, we gather around you today in spirit to remember Caleb.

Dear Eddie, Becca, E-Jay, Sarah, Mr. and Mrs. Christopher, Chris, and other family members who are missing Caleb; there are so many of you I am sure...cousins, nephews, neices, and friends who are surely feeling the loneliness of Caleb's passing. I can only imagine the emptiness in your hearts today as you buried Caleb with military honors.
I understand that Caleb was a good son, boyfriend, brother, nephew, and uncle. My girlfriend spoke well of him, and her children feel sad they won't get a chance to know him better now that he is gone. It is sad the next generation will not get a chance to get to know him as some of you did. I am confident he made Arizona a better place to live, and that his efforts made a significant step in helping people in Iraq fight for their civil rights. That in an of itself says a lot about Caleb's belief system; he put his life on the line, and did so knowing there was a possibility he might not make it home to see you all again. I hear he committed himself to 3 tours, and he extended his trip at the last minute, and as such didn't make it home. It seems he wanted to accomplish one more thing while he was there. I suppose we can only hope that this was in God's plan, though it seems so unfair to lose him at such an unbearable young age; I can't imagine your pain, but I cry for your loss. The fact he enrolled in the Army and that you supported his job, best anyone can during a time of war...well, it tells people all over the world that there are families like yours who praise freedom. Fathers, fiances, and siblings who, despite being scared, want their loved one to do something that they believe in - even when they know that job will place someone they love in harms way. The Christophers are an amazing family to give that kind of support. Cherish unconditional love each day. May all the prayers and love help get each of you to a place where you can smile and laugh again - just as I imagine Caleb might have wanted you each to do. I have no doubt that his mother wrapped her arms around him when he arrived in heaven, and he was greeted by so many before him who love and respect him, including my own father who was an Army WWII instructor pilot.
Caleb is missed here, but he is loved and well where he is now. His joy is endless. May he continue to protect you, to love you, to guide each of you from heaven. I hope you will always feel his arms around you, hear his voice when you feel sorrow, feel his warmth and presence when you are sitting quietly; that his him, wanting you to know he is O.K. and that he will never truly leave you. To Becca, there are no words. To have loved him, and be loved by him, for any length of time must have been very special; you have my love and sympathy.

to the family of Caleb:
It is with sincere sadness that I extend my deepest sympathy for your loss. The American soldier is our greatest hero, both in the past and for our future. Protecting the ideals of freedom, the American soldier stands arm to arm with his brothers and sisters to ensure that our children and our grandchildren and their future children will be able to live in democracy. No greater love hath a man than to lay down his life to protect another. Heaven holds a very revered place of honor for Caleb, and I know he and his mother are watching over all of you. May the loving memories of Caleb bring you comfort, and may Caleb rest forever in the loving embrace of God.
Caleb, we honor your courage, your valor and your honor, and will NEVER forget you or the sacrfice you made on behalf of the citizens of the UNITED STATES of AMERICA.
Rest in peace soldier.
