Mary Lou Christopher

Mary Lou (Meehan) Christopher, age 91, of Medford passed away on Tuesday, February 24th, at Bear Hill Nursing Center of Stoneham. Raised and educated in Melrose, she was the daughter of the late Warren A. and Catherine (Doherty) Meehan. Mary Lou lived in Medford for the past 50 years and worked in retail sales. She loved gardening, shopping and needlepoint, and was a wonderful cook.

Mary Lou was the beloved wife of the late Edward A. Christopher, and the devoted mother of Steven Christopher and his spouse Jodiel Santos. She was the dear sister of Maureen Curdo and her husband Stephen, Jimmy Meehan and his wife Patty, and five late brothers and sisters. She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours have been respectfully omitted. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, on Monday, March 9th at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Mary Lou's name to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75244.
