Caleb Luna Obituary

Caleb Ryan Luna, 22, was called home on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at his residence. He was born on March 29, 2003, in Alice, Texas, to his loving parents, Modesto A. Luna and Krystal Luna. Caleb was a proud member of the Freer High School Class of 2021. During his time there, he excelled in football and also participated in basketball and track. Known for his humor and big heart, Caleb was well liked by all his classmates and was always the one to bring a smile or laugh to those around him. He was an active member of church and received all his sacraments at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Freer. After high school, Caleb worked in the oilfield industry and stayed busy with various other jobs. He was never one to sit still for long and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Caleb had a deep love for music and enjoyed cruising around town with his favorite songs playing. He had a special place in his heart for animals and showed kindness and care to all creatures, great and small.
More than anything, Caleb was a devoted husband, son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend. His presence brought light and laughter to every room, and his absence leaves a deep void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
He will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Modesto A. and Krystal Luna Jr.; grandparents, Modesto R. and Maria Luisa Luna Sr.; great grandparents, Ernesto and Emilia Aguillon Sr.; aunt, Minerva Tracy; uncles, Ernesto Aguillon Jr., Jose Aguillon Sr., Jesus Aguillon, and Reymundo Aguillon.
Caleb is survived by his wife of two years of marriage, Kayla Pena Luna of Freer, Texas; his parents that raised him like a son, James and Melanie Andrzyczak; his brother, Ethan Anthony Luna (ShannaMae); his two sisters, Sadie June Luna and Brittany (Arty) Rangel; nephews, Owen Luna, Ethan "EJ" Luna and Brayden Rangel; nieces, Audiah D. Perez, Ayvah Rangel; his uncle and aunt, Mark (Adele) Luna; cousins, Deedra, Allena, Angelina and Alia.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at Garza Funeral Home in Freer, Texas with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. that evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 2, 2025, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Freer, Texas. Interment will follow at San Diego Cemetery in San Diego, Texas.
