Caleb Westfall, Sr., age 46, of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away on August 5, 2025. Born on February 3, 1979, in Potterville, Michigan, Caleb lived a life defined by grit, faith, and an unrelenting drive to push boundaries-both physical and spiritual.
A master craftsman and tireless worker, Caleb owned and operated his own business, Westfall Drywall. Known for his unmatched work ethic, he could hang over 40 sheets of drywall in a single day-a pace few could match. His dedication to his craft was legendary among those who worked with him. While many struggled to keep up with his intensity and precision, his son Caleb Jr. stood beside him through it all. Today, Caleb Jr. carries forward his father's legacy of strength and perseverance in the trade.
Caleb's life extended far beyond the walls he built. He was a passionate athlete who found deep spiritual connection through movement. He completed Ironman races and triathlons and once ran 100 miles along Hapuna Beach on the Big Island of Hawaii-a feat that took multiple attempts but never broke his resolve. He ran the Honolulu Marathon on drywall stilts seven times, a testament to both his endurance and unique spirit.
Running was more than a sport for Caleb it was a form of worship. He often ran for 12 hours straight, dressed in a white tuxedo as a symbol of reverence before God. When asked why he chose such attire, he would reply, "Wouldn't you want to be dressed in your nicest clothes in front of God?" His faith was unwavering; he trusted that God would provide even when he had nothing. That trust carried him through personal challenges and inspired those around him.
Caleb also rowed canoes and boxed briefly while living on the Big Island. Despite a fear of the ocean, he competed in triathlons-another example of how he faced fears head-on with courage and determination.
He believed deeply in helping others find light in dark places. Whether through conversation or action, Caleb sought to reach people where others wouldn't go. He once ran around the Big Island with his son Caleb Jr., driven by compassion and faith that God would guide their journey.
Though he faced personal struggles-including anger-Caleb chose growth over surrender. He enrolled in classes to better himself and was open about his journey toward healing. In doing so, he showed others that transformation is possible when met with honesty and effort.
Caleb was deeply devoted to his children-Caleb Jr., Joshua, Shiloh, and Ezra and proud of the young men they are becoming. His love for them was fierce and enduring.
He is survived by his wife Allison Westfall; his sons Caleb Jr., Joshua, Shiloh, and Ezra; his father Richard Westfall; his brother Israel Westfall; and his sister Rebekah Westfall. He was preceded in death by his mother Sandra Lee Westfall and former wife Corina Aston Westfall.
A man of great ideas and even greater heart, Caleb lived by the words he shared: "Be happy and celebrate. I am always with you! Love others, never give up, dream big-and most important-go after those dreams." His memory will continue to inspire those who knew him to live boldly, love deeply, and trust fiercely.
May his legacy bring comfort to all who were touched by his life. A Memorial Gathering will be held on September 21, 2025, from 02:00 PM to 04:00 PM at Elevate Church suite 408 1347 Kapiolani Blvd . If you need more if formation please contact me. Rebekah at this email [email protected]
