Callie Marie Passwater

Callie Marie Passwater, aged 89, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 17, 2025. Born on September 21, 1935, in Bradley County, Tennessee, she worked at General Electric in Fort Wayne, retiring after 33 years of dedicated service.
Callie cherished spending time with her loved ones and embarked on numerous travels whenever possible with her husband Jim. Among the many family memories are time at her house on the hill and farm where she host many parties included Halloween parties with hayrides. She is survived by her sons, Ellis (Carol) Wheeler and Bobby (Judy) Wheeler, her daughter, Vicki (James) Racine, her daughter-in-law Diana (James) Wheeler, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Callie was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, James Passwater, and her son, James Wheeler. Funeral service will be held at 6 pm on Wednesday, April 23. 2025 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Rd., Ft. Wayne, IN 46804 with visitation from 4 pm to 6 pm.
Entombment will be held at 10 am on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at Covington Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Callie.
