Calvin Chester Bratton, a beloved father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, passed away on August 12, 2024. He left a legacy of memories and love for his family and friends.
Mr. Bratton drove an 18-wheeler for 51 years, covering over a million miles. His favorite activities were farming, fishing, hunting, and, most importantly, spending time with his family. Mr. Bratton was a family man before anything else. From bringing home a trailer of watermelons to cheering on Myleaha at her Arkansas Angels pageants, he had the biggest heart and had never met a stranger.
Mr. Bratton is survived by his children, Calvin Bratton Jr. of Garner; two daughters, Robbie Boyce of Cabot and Betty with her husband Michael Davis of Beebe; three brothers, Milton, Donald, and Roy; three sisters, Patsy Mary, and Margaret; Seven grandchildren; Jennifer Brockman (David), Robert Jones, Leeanna Brown (Jeremy), Maghan Davis, Kayla Johnson (Lincoln), Emily Davis, Gavin Davis; along with fifteen great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Bratton will be placed to rest near his son, Carl Bratton, his wife of thirty-eight years and the mother of all four children, Carylon Bratton, and his granddaughter Jessica Jones, JC Deboser, sister Joann Matthews, and his parents, Cletties and Mattie Bratton.
Mr. Bratton's Funeral will be held Friday, August 16, 2024, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, 404 W. Dewitt Henry Dr. in Beebe, Arkansas. The viewing will begin at 9 a.m., the service at 10 a.m. at the Smith-Westbrook Chapel. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
