Calvin Lanny Combs, age 74 of Washington Township, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2024. He was born January 18, 1950 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Calvin and Alice Combs. Calvin was raised in Dayton and graduated from Belmont High School. He also attended and graduated from tech school before beginning work at the Delco Products plant (General Motors) as a plumber/pipe fitter for over 30 years. After retirement he also worked as an agent at Western Southern Insurance Co. and as a realtor for Coldwell Banker. The most important position Calvin held was that of Father, Son, Brother, Husband and Friend. He dearly loved his family and would do anything for them. Most important to Calvin, he loved and was dedicated to serving the Lord our God. He worshipped at Fairhaven Church, volunteered at the Church and other Christian organizations. Calvin enjoyed spending time with family, playing basketball, golfing, running, boating, watching sports and photography. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Calvin is survived by his Wife, Tammy Combs; Sons, Jason (Haruka) Combs, and Todd Combs; Step-Children, Aaron (Leanne) Sorrentino, Tria Sorrentino, and Sean Sorrentino; Grandchildren, May, Joe, Benjamin, Douglas, Grace, Angelina, Gianna, and Julian; Brother, Roger (Sherrie) Combs; Mother-In-Law, Barbara Smith; and by numerous other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his Parents, Calvin and Alice Combs. .
Funeral Service will be held at 12:00PM, Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Newcomer Funeral Home Centerville (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd. Dayton, OH 45459).
