Calvin Fred Craig Jr. devoted husband to Lorrie, and loving protector to his daughter Taylor Cooper (Zach Cooper), was called home by his Lord & Savior unexpectedly on Monday, February 10th, 2025.
Calvin is preceded in death by his mother Bernice Leona Craig, his father Calvin Fred Craig Sr., and his sister Olivia Gail Mayes. He is survived by his wife Lorrie Craig, his daughter Taylor (Craig) Cooper, son-in-law Zach Cooper, and his grand puppy Ally Bama.
Calvin was born in Atlanta, Georgia on December 30th, 1965, and grew up in the Fayetteville, Georgia area. Calvin was a veteran of the United States Air Force, and he was extremely proud & honored to serve his country. In the summer of 1992, he met the love of his life Lorrie, and they wed on September 4th, 1994. In March of 1996, Calvin & Lorrie were blessed with their only child, a daughter named Taylor, who was and will always be his entire world. Calvin used his military experience, extensive knowledge, and incredible people skills to create and own a successful company alongside Lorrie for over the past 23 years.
Calvin had a deep love for his family, and doing anything and everything with them. He loved to dance, sing karaoke, experience restaurants, be out on the water, and he loved watching Alabama football. If there was an activity, gathering, or event Calvin would be there and be the one making everybody laugh. In every way, Calvin had a larger-than-life personality and lived every second of his life to the fullest. He truly made a lasting positive impact on everyone he met both personally and professionally. Calvin's legacy is one that will never be forgotten and duplicated in any way. He will be deeply missed by so many, but none more so than Lorrie, Taylor, and Zach.
Memorial Services will be held at 3pm on Saturday, February 22nd, 2025, at McDonald & Son Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life gathering will commence following the service at the family home. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation in Calvin's name and honor.
The family would like to thank all the friends, family, professional contacts, and individuals who knew Calvin for the tremendous amount of support and outreach during this incredibly challenging time. Calvin would be so humbled and in awe of the amount of support that has been given, and he would have made sure to personally thank each one of you.
Arrangements have been entrusted to McDonald and Son Funeral Home, 150 Sawnee Dr. Cumming, GA 30040, 770-886-9899, mcdonaldandson.com.
